Accessing the community is pretty simple, just follow these 4 steps to navigate and access the community.

Step 1: Login and Land on Dashboard

• As soon as you log in, you’ll be taken to the main Dashboard.
  
  

  This is your home base where you’ll see important highlights and announcements, also navigate to the course content, live sessions etc.

Step 2: Locate the Community Channels

• On the left-hand side of your screen, you’ll see a sidebar.

• This sidebar is a collapsible menu - so if you cannot see the channels, ensure that you have expanded it.
  
  

  

Step 3: Understand Channel Types

• Channels are where different types of conversations happen.

• There are two types of channel formats:
  
  
  

  1. Feed + Messages Active
     – Post your videos in the Feed.
     – Use Messages for clarifications, or side discussions.
     – Example: CM Student Community
     
     

     

     
     

  2. Messages Only
     – No video feed, just pure text discussions.
     – Example: Discussion Channel
     
     

     

     
     Step 4: Navigating Between Channels

     • Use the sidebar menu to hop between channels.

     • Click on the channel name to open it.

     • If a channel has a feed, you’ll see it at the top and the messages right beside it.
       
       
       

     You can also directly access all the messaging channels directly by navigating to messages on the sidebar.
